About Elena Kolotusha
I am a professional artist, worked as a visual art teacher for some years and later as a freelance artist. Born in former Soviet Union I moved to Melbourne (Australia) with my family in 1998. I enjoy painting still-lifes with natural objects like shells and feathers, and vintage man-made things like keys and cutlery. I explore shapes and patterns to discover an object's personality, which I believe, reflects the relationship they have with people or their symbolic value. I love to put some mystery in my still-lifes, so people could wonder, think or recall something... My other passion - Equine and Animal/Wildlife portraiture. I work in acrylics/oils, pastel, color pencils and scratchboard technique.

Hi Yelena, Thanks for the comments on my horse painting - I have to laugh, we have a lot of similarity in our subject matters we paint - I started to paint feathers a few years ago as well as the horses. Blessings from Cape Town South Africa - Ps. Visited your birth country last year - Moscow - beautifull!!!
